How we teach and what we teach are crucial to a young mind. Children aren’t idiots, they apply what they learn and quickly find out what’s useful and what’s not. Many of us are where we are because we sought out on our own what we needed to survive in today’s society. If only every child could grow to be as tenacious. So next time you are teaching something to a young mind, show them how it applies to their daily lives… and they will keep it with them always. *Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a life time.* I think we as a society have strayed too far from practical applications and have entered the age of droning our children.
